Joan Lindsey-Mullikin

Dr. Joan Lindsey-Mullikin is Professor of Marketing at the Orfalea College of Business. She received her MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona – Tucson.

Her research interests include consumer behavior, pricing, social media, and sustainability. She has published in the Journal of Retailing, the Journal of Business Research, Business Horizons, and Journal of the Academy of Marketing Sciences, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, and Journal of Consumer Affairs. Her most recent article that is forthcoming in Business Horizons presents strategies for retailers who are selling merchandise on social media through third party vendors.

Her teaching interests include Product Management and Industry based Learn by Doing social media projects including projects for the new Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) Minor.

She has received teaching awards as well as awards for her research.

She currently holds the position of OCOB Director of Research. In addition, she currently serves on the Faculty Affairs Committee (FAC). Dr. Lindsey-Mullikin plans to lead a Orfalea International Business Tour to Costa Rica during Spring Break 2017 with the learning emphasis being on Women-Owned Businesses in a Male Dominated Society.

Dr. Lindsey-Mullikin’s industry experience included employment at the McDonnell Douglas Corporation. The position included negotiating missile weapon system’s price and terms and conditions.
